Mother Nature Wins Again

I have been following with great interest the volcano eruption in Iceland. I love how us humans continually go about our busy lives without a thought to nature until it suddenly grounds us. I find this volcano situation rather fascinating. Fortunately, it has not been devastating like the horrible earthquakes that have plagued Haiti, Chile, and China. It has just been a huge inconvenience. That is what has made it so interesting to follow. We are used to catastrophic natural events occurring, but are taken off guard when a volcano eruption in distant Iceland could so throw off most of Europe and the US. Mother Nature has come to remind us that her reach is immense and comes in many forms. We are forced to admit that we do not have complete control of our lives. Like it or not, we are all connected and events an ocean away will still impact our lives. Big or small, Mother Nature will let herself be known.
